Learn about the minimum requirements needed to qualify for Hult Prize competition:
- The competition is for teams with 2-4 members.
- All team members should be at least 18 years of age at the moment of registration.
- Participants in a team may be enrolled at different universities; however, the team must select one university you are enrolled in to represent. All students should be registered in the university's undergraduate, graduate, postgraduate, or PhD/DPhil degree program. Any changes to a team must be in writing, unanimous, and approved by the Hult Prize Foundation at its sole discretion. Participants can only be registered on one team at a time.

I graduate before the competition ends; am I still eligible to compete?
Yes. You can participate in the Hult Prize if you are enrolled in a university degree program when you apply, or if you graduated during the eligibility period announced for the relevant competition cycle. You may continue competing even if you graduate while the competition is underway. -
Are community college students eligible to participate?
Yes, community college students can compete in the Hult Prize. -
How do I prove my active student status?
You must submit one of the following documents via the Submissions link to prove your student status: university enrollment letter, university ID card, transcripts, and official letter from the university. -
Do we all need to have the same academic background?
The competitors do not need to be from the same background or major and the startup can be formed by students from different levels from freshmen to PhD, as long as they are enrolled students.
